Is currently suspended while we put our beloved and well-used crockpot to rest. It lived a long and useful life, but it died a quick death that included exposed wires and sparks along with a tempermental button, so it went to the big kitchen in the sky.
It did donate it's useful parts (such selflessness!) so the crock and lid went to Goodwill. Hopefully it will go to a good home where it gets many more years of cooking.
Thank you Crocky for all your wonderful years of service. We will always remember the soft glow of your "on" button as it glowed in the evening and the comforting smells and delicious food you always provided. May you rest in peaceful goodness.
We will get a new crock soon, as I decide what kind would be best (have you seen the new locking lids?!?) and hopefully they will go on sale here pretty soon.
